Massachusetts Woman Facing Several Charges After Punching A Firefighter
This all happened in Tewksburg, Massachusetts. Now, the story is going viral online likely because of how many charges she’s facing after the incident! It almost requires an extra hand to count them all!
According to WJAR, Susan Kapopoulos, 58, was arrested after a wild drunken crash that was caught on dash cam. She was charged with her third drunk driving offense after her vehicle veered off Clark Road hitting a fence and a tree, per WJAR. When police arrived at the scene, she was reportedly unconscious.
WJAR reports that 2 bottles of alcohol were found inside the vehicle and responding officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Kapopoulos. Later, it was discovered that she also reportedly hit a different vehicle on the road, as well. The driver of that car did sustain injuries, per WJAR. According to WJAR, when Kapopoulos regained consciousness she punched a firefighter! Not what you want to do to first responders who go above and beyond to help you out–even after you’ve made a mistake. That’s certainly not going to help any of your potential problems.
WJAR reports that Kapopoulos has been charged with: Operating Under the Influence of Liquor (Third Offense), Marked Lanes Violation, Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Speeding, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Wear Seatbelt, Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, Assault and Battery on Ambulance Personnel, and Possession of a Class B Substance.
