Utah CEO And His Daughter Die In Freak Bulldozer Accident
A Utah CEO and his daughter were tragically killed in a freak bulldozer accident! It sounds like something out of a Final Destination movie!
I can’t drive behind a truck carrying lumber without thinking about the scene from Final Destination where all the wood comes flying off the truck hitting cars behind it. Unfortunately, sometimes these types of things can actually happened. Something similar recently left a Utah CEO and his daughter dead in a freak bulldozer accident. Find out what happened below.
How Did A Utah CEO And His Daughter Die In A Freak Bulldozer Accident?
If you’ve seen the Final Destination movies, you know the fear that comes with driving behind something of that nature. According to Daily Mail, Richard David Hendrickson and his daughter Sally both died in a freak bulldozer accident in Utah after a bulldozer fell off a tow truck and landed directly on their SUV, crushing them to death.
It sounds like it was a case of terribly bad timing. According to Daily Mail, a tow truck that was hauling a bulldozer was traveling in the opposite direction on a two-lane road when the machine fell off the back. rolled onto its side, only to land on their SUV. Hendrickson’s wife and two of the couple’s other children were also involved in the accident and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, per Daily Mail.
Hendrickson’s company, Lifetime Products, said in a statement, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our CEO and President, Richard David Hendrickson. This heartbreaking incident also claimed the life of one of his daughters, Sally.” Daily Mail says an additional daughter was out of town at the time and not involved in the accident.
Following the accident and tragic deaths, a petition has been started to limit the type of vehicles that are allowed along the narrow road, according to Daily Mail. The petition details how the road gives little to no shoulder width at some points and how larger vehicles can pose a significant risk to the safety of travelers. You can read more about that petition here.
