Got Millions? Massachusetts State Lottery Holding $1 Million Raffle on New Year’s Day, How YOU Can Win

Another holiday season, another way you can win money. The Massachusetts state lottery is always coming up with new ways for you to win big. It seems as if every holiday season there is a new lottery ticket for you to potentially win millions and this holiday season is no different. This time, instead of offering a new scratch ticket (which I'm sure they still will), they are holding an actual raffle drawing. Intrigued? So are we.

So here's how it will work. Tickets for the new "Mass Millionaire Holiday Raffle" will go on sale Monday for $10 each.  Not a bad price tag to potentially win one million dollars. Tickets will continue to be sold until Sunday, December 31 or until all of the game's limited run of 550,000 tickets have been purchased.  According to a statement from the Massachusetts state lottery: "Players will not select their own raffle numbers. Each ticket will contain a unique number. A player's ticket number must exactly match one of the winning number sequences drawn to win one of the raffle's prizes." The winner will be drawn on New Year's Day, Monday January 1, 2024. Now if you aren't the winner of the grand prize of one million dollars, you could still win one of four prizes of $250,000 each and six $25,000 winners.  Not a bad consolation prize. Oh, and there are also weekly prizes too. Each week, a $20,000 prize will be given away. Those drawings start Friday, October 20 and continue every Friday through December 29. AND for every 100 tickets sold, that consumer will get a $100 voucher to be used on more Massachusetts lottery tickets.
