I've always felt like Quincy is an underappreciated dining mecca. There are so many great spots, plus it's on the water and there are views of Boston. Here, you will discover 4 fun Wollaston Beach restaurants on the water in Quincy. And yeah, there are views of our beautiful city from this area of Quincy.
I used to live in Wollaston, but it has changed quite a bit since then. The restaurants have stepped it up. And you can't beat the views. If you love people watching, water and city views, it's all there, on Quincy Shore Drive.
This strip of road takes you all along the water. You'll see all kinds of kinds on bikes, walking, and driving their cars and motorcycles up and down Quincy Shore Drive. It's like a scene out of old movie with a row of clam shacks and eating establishments. Outdoor dining is the thing here and so is the fresh seafood.

Since I haven't been in a minute, I consulted you and your reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp as to the best Wollaston Beach restaurants. A couple of these spots have been around forever and continue to up their game. At least in the menu department, from what I could tell.
Whether you are a seafood lover, a vegan or just want a big juicy burger, you've got options at these Wollaston Beach restaurants. And they all have outdoor dining. Give me a grilled dog, frozen cocktail, a sunset view of the ocean and Boston, and I'm in heaven!
4. Garden Patch By The Sea
895 Quincy Shore Drive
Garden Patch By the Sea opened a couple of years ago in the spot that used to be Cafe Maddie. According to the Patriot Ledger, Craig Somers and his son Travis opened their place on Wollaston Beach to offer an alternative. They wanted menu items to cater to vegans and vegetarians. As explained on their website, all items are plant based with vegetarian options upon request. You'll see familiar beachy faves like crabcakes, seafood platter and pizzas, but these don't contain ingredients like meat, butter, eggs or cow's milk. Of course there are items for meat lovers and egg lovers too.
3. The Baja Box
793 Quincy Shore Drive
A legendary Wollaston Beach waterfront spot, The Clambox, bought the Baja Box in 2018 and the taco place is a big hit. Check out this review from resident Debbie, "The Baja fish tacos are the best tacos I've ever had. I waited all winter for this place to reopen, and have already gone multiple times in the last month and a half. Great local spot!" Mexican food is the flare and they offer freshly made tacos of all kinds, street corn, nachos and more. Plus, they serve ice cream, slushies and sundaes.
2. The Clam Box
789 Quincy Shore Drive
Since 1968 this Wolly Beach hot spot has been dishing out delicious seafood and other summer favorites. They are famous for their clam strips and whole belly clams, but there really is something for everyone. From lobster rolls to sandwiches, buggers, hand cut onion rings and salads. They've been doing it right at the Box for a long time and you can't beat the location. Plus, they do serve alcohol, so if you just want a cold one and a view, it's here.
1. Tony's Clam Shop
861 Quincy Shore Drive
Now open for their 60th season, this Wollaston Beach landmark is a fun, casual, family friendly restaurant on Quincy’s historic Wollaston Beach. Fried clams are what everyone is clamoring for here. Famous for their fresh lobster rolls, broiled seafood platters, clams and kabobs. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a frozen cocktail or beer on their ocean front patio or backyard garden.
