2 Boston Bed & Breakfasts named among the best in the country
2 Boston bed & breakfasts named among the best in the country. This is according to U.S. News & World Report whose rankings come out annually. According to the publication, they base their findings on three things: reputation among professional travel experts, guest reviews and hotel class ratings. 12 New England bed & breakfasts made the cut and 6 of them are in Boston. But it’s the top 2 that are getting the most recognition as they are also ranked nationally as well. Before we run down the 6 that made the cut, let’s take a look at what we all look for in a good bed & breakfast.
What do we look for in a B&B?
Of course when it comes to a good bed & breakfast we want clean and gorgeous rooms. We also want amazing service. Fireplaces in the rooms are a plus. People enjoy welcoming common areas and offers of tea service. Maybe the offering of an evening wine service will also help. Location is always big. Is the bed & breakfast centrally located? Are there tourist attractions in the area? Can you walk to some amazing restaurants? All of which is what most will look for in a bed & breakfast.
Other B&B’s in New England made the cut
Besides the 2 bed & breakfasts named below, there were 10 others in New England that made the cut. From Salem MA to Burlington Vermont there are some quality B&B’s on this list. You can visit the Amelia Payson house or Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast both in Salem. The Chanler at Cliff Walk and Hydrangea House Inn both in Newport, RI were also recognized. So it’s great to see you don’t have too far to drive to get an impeccable B&B experience. As far as Boston goes, here are the 6 best in the city. Two of which are nationally ranked.
