Summer is here in New England, summer music festival season is in full swing, and Lowell Summer Jam is this Saturday, August 6.
Of course, the season here in the Boston area officially got underway on Memorial Day weekend with Boston Calling Music Festival. If you missed it, I recapped my experience at the three-day soiree here. And we even have a whole bunch of pro-shot pics of headliners Nine Inch Nails and Metallica; you can check those out here. But let’s shift our focus north of the city for a moment.
Lowell Summer Jam
Lowell Summer Jam comes to the Mill City on Saturday, August 6. The one-day mini-festival is packing in ten solid local acts: five on an outdoor stage, and five on an indoor stage. It’s all conveniently located at Trend New England on Merrimack St. in Lowell. And the price is right, too. Pony up $10 and you’ll get access to the outdoor stage, where the music starts at 3:30 in the afternoon and rolls all the way through to 8 p.m. An extra $5 gets you indoors for the after party, with music from 8:30 p.m. until after midnight. Do the math: that’s ten bands for fifteen bucks. Not a bad deal.
Grab your tickets here and see who’s playing here. Oh, and if you want to score your tickets for free, you can enter to win here. Just be sure to enter by Wednesday, August 3, as that’s the deadline. We have a pretty cool grand prize, too: a VIP table by the bands with dinner provided by Trend New England. Summer is all about festivals, and Lowell Summer Jam is a great way to get that summer festival vibe. And? You’ll be supporting great local bands and vendors, which is always the right thing to do. See you in Lowell on Saturday.
