USA Today readers have spoken. They have claimed their favorites, and low and behold a Massachusetts water park has been named one of the best in the country! The publication recently compiled a list of the 10 best indoor water parks to enjoy in any kind of weather.
This Massachusetts Water Park Stands Out
Congratulations to Great Wolf Lodge, a Massachusetts family tradition for 10 years now. Great Wolf Lodge Resorts is a chain of indoor water parks in this country and Canada. But, locally, Fitchburg is home to this award-winning attraction. USA Today pointed out the "the resorts' water parks include indoor and seasonal outdoor activities such as tube rides, wave pools, waterslides, hot tubs, and surfing simulators."
What's great about Great Wolf Lodge is that no matter what the weather outside, it's always 84 degrees inside and there is so much to do year round.. Of course there are the water slides, towers and pools, and even an obstacle course where you jump on lily pads to get across. But there's also an "immersive MagiQuest adventure game, restaurants, an arcade, climbing wall, mini golf, and more," as reported in Boston.com
Known as "North America's largest family indoor water park resorts," Great Wolf Lodge first opened in Massachusetts in 2014. And there is soon to be another New England location, coming in 2025 next to Foxwoods Resorts.

Of course we know that Massachusetts has some of the best tourist attractions in the country. We are after all the state where the American Revolution began and that is just for starters. The Bay State is home to historic towns like Salem, where the infamous Witch Trials took place primarily. You also have the Freedom Trial in Boston, which is always a big tourist attraction for history lovers and students on field trips.

There's historic Fenway Park, home of the Big Green Monster where you can take in a game and know that you're in the same ballpark where some of the all time greats played, like Babe Ruth, Ted Williams and so many more legends.
Massachusetts tourist attractions are numerous
There are hundreds of landmarks and historical places all over Massachusetts. You could spend many vacations site seeing and touring the state and never run out places to go and sites to see.
However, if you decide that you want to checkout other tourist attractions around the country there are endless places to visit.
A lot of Americans dream of traveling the country in an RV, going to state to state checking out all the USA has to offer. Every state has their own tourist attractions. Whether it’s the Alamo of Texas, The St. Louis Arch, The Grand Canyon or the Empire State Building, there’s more to see than you could ever imagine.
So, before you head out on your great American adventure and plot out your trip, keep these places in mind and perhaps take off of your bucket list of places to see.
Here are The Top 5 Most Overrated Tourist Attractions
5. Lombard Street in San Francisco.
It's the steep one that winds back and forth. There's always a long line of cars waiting to go down. But once you're on it, you realize you just waited in traffic to wait in more traffic.
4. Times Square.
It's fun the first time, but New Yorkers do their best to avoid it because it's just so crowded. If you do plan on going, understand that you will be wall to wall with thousands of other tourists and some pretty sketchy wannabe Disney characters too.
3. Plymouth Rock.
The whole area around Plymouth Harbor is nice. But the rock itself is just a rock. It's behind bars, so you can't even touch it. Most people are very underwhelmed by the size of Plymouth Rock, you probably have bigger boulders in your backyard.
2. Las Vegas.
Everything is overpriced, and you have to deal with a LOT of drunk people. If you love it, keep going. If gambling and nightlife aren't your thing, you're not missing a lot. Most tourists agree that after two or three nights in Vegas, you're probably ready to go home.
1. Mount Rushmore
You have to travel a long way to see it. And most people's first impression is it's a lot smaller than they thought. It's hard to meet your expectations of Mount Rushmore, in our mind's eye we picture it to be colossal. Sadly, it's not as big as you would expect, but keep in mind that his was all done by hand with both tools and sweat. All is forgiven.
