‘The Walking Dead’ is Filming in Boston & Looking for Massachusetts Zombie Extras
AMC is set to begin filming the new season of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” in Boston next month and producers are looking for YOU… if it’s your dream to play a zombie extra on the show. Your name may not go up in lights but you may get a tiny mention in the credits, that’s good enough for me!
I have come to realize that MANY people have the same dream as me – to play a dead person on TV. I always thought I was weird for wanting to appear while laying on the ground, tongue out, eyes rolled to the back of my head on a TV show like Law & Order or NCIS. Hell, I’d even play a dead person on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives if Guy Fieri wanted to step over me while entering an eatery to shout about Flavor Town and tater tots. Over the years I have found many people who have the same desire. The following news will be very exciting to my fellow group of fake-dead-TV-wannabe’s:
Kendall Cooper Casting put out an open casting call for zombie extras on Wednesday, searching for people of all ages and ethnicities to play “walkers, soldiers, post apocalyptic survivors, and various other extra roles” during filming of Season 2 of the “Walking Dead” spinoff which begins filming in Boston next month.
So start working on your zombie gutterals and APPLY HERE! I hope you get a part… me too. If you make it look for me on set, I’ll be the one… uhhh…. trying to be a zombie like everyone else, I guess.
Oh and while we’re talking about Massachusetts Zombies… here’s 8 things every LIVING Massachusetts resident needs to do before they become a *gulp* Massachusetts zombie. How many of the 8 have you completed so far? Anything we should add to the list? Let me know: @jacksonblueshow
