Virally Famous Hot Chicken Restaurant Opens Tomorrow in Braintree
Have you heard of Dave’s Hot Chicken? Ohhhhhhhhh it’s legit.
My parents moved down to South Carolina years ago. During my latest trip to visit them I finally tried the virally famous Dave’s Hot Chicken.
What is the history of Dave’s Hot Chicken?
Dave’s Hot Chicken is a straight-up sensation in the world of spicy fried chicken. The concept was born in Los Angeles in 2017. Friends Dave Kopushyan and Arman Oganesyan started it as a food truck and it quickly gained a cult following. The concept was simple: serve Nashville hot chicken that packs a punch in flavor and heat. The duo’s flavorful creations and addictive spice levels led to a swift expansion. Dave’s Hot Chicken soon transformed into a growing chain of restaurants, spreading its fiery love for crispy, succulent chicken across California and beyond. Today, it’s a testament to the power of passion and spice in the culinary world. And that spiciness?! Ohhhh boy let me tell you.
So how hot was their ‘Hot Chicken?’ Dave’s Hot Chicken: My Review
I tried their hottest sauce/dry coating, “The Reaper.” I had to sign a waiver but being a self-proclaimed hot head I giggled that off, donning my John Hancock like it was a joke. It. Was. Not. A. Joke. That stuff is hoooooooootttttt. Almost too hot to enjoy. Definitely hot enough to get an order to split with a bunch of friends to laugh hysterically at each other’s pain and suffering (it’s temporary… but temporary seems to take forever).
As for the rest of their Hot Chicken, it was delicious. My family and I declared it the best fast food chicken we’ve ever had. Bottom line: it did live up to the hype for us anyway.
