Massachusetts ‘Most Must-Try Local Sandwich’ is Simply Perfect
Do you know how many articles I see that say “_____ has the best sandwich” then a few days later I see another article claiming definitively that a totally different sandwich was named best sandwich. Rinse and repeat and repeat and repeat. Well I’m here with… “the most must-try local sandwich” in Massachusetts. Yup. I’ve become one of… them.
But you know what I love about this pick? It surprised me.
It wasn’t the Italian at X subshop or the meatball sub at Y sandwiches. And what surprised me was the simplicity of this sandwich. And the more I thought about it, I actually agreed: in Massachusetts nothing beats the humble Fluffernutter.
Microsoft’s Food and Drink division are the ones to get credit for the Must-Try Local Sandwich in every state and the ones who get credit for picking the Fluffernutter at stands at the Big E in Springfield as Massachusetts must-try local sandwich. A bold choice… but I think it’s a valid, wise choice. (I speak for Fluffernutters in general. I’ve never eaten one at the Big E sadly.)
You know what else people in Massachusetts and New Hampshire love? MARKET BASKET!! It’s a great place to pick up every ingredient for your Fluffernutter (peanut butter, Fluff, bread – there’s your shopping list). BUT… not all Market Baskets are created equal. So… what is the most beloved Market Basket? Let’s reveal all below!
I decided to put my research hat on and find out which Massachusetts locations are most loved by customers and which locations aren’t feeling as much love. I did this by crunching over 73,000 Google reviews. Each Market Basket could score as high as 5.0. I’ll let you know how each scored and how many reviews have come in for each location as well. If the score is a tie, I’ll give the nod to the location that has the most reviews.
I did this for New Hampshire locations as well. Check out that countdown RIGHT OVER HERE!
