It's been almost a year since Will Smith's infamous slap of presenter Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars ceremony. Although it might be a while until Smith and Rock ever make amends, for now, Smith is trying to be light-hearted about the incident. He's actually joking about the moment on TikTok.

The King Richard actor has been laying low on social media since the slap last year but in recent weeks, Smith has made a return. On Tuesday (Feb. 21), he posted a duet on TikTok seemingly poking fun at the moment. He used a video by a TikToker known as Miss Money Working, real name Sam Rossi. In her video, Rossi talks about asking inanimate objects what they think of you and the mental benefits you can receive.

"You can pick up a pen and ask it how it sees you or what it thinks of you," Rossi says. "And you will get an answer in your mind from your intuition. You can ask your car what it thinks of you, you can even ask money what it thinks of you."

In Smith's video, you see him nodding in agreement with what Rossi says in hers. Then, off camera you see the actor reach off-screen and grab his Oscar trophy. He then appears to ask what it thinks of him before the video abruptly cut off.

Smith has since addressed the incident after apologizing to Rock and opening up to Trevor Noah on The Daily Show back in November.

"And I guess what I would say, you just never know what somebody is going through," Smith said. "I was going through something that night. Not that that justifies my behavior at all."

"And it’s like I understood the idea where they say 'hurt people hurt people,'" he said. "That was a rage that had been bottled for a really long time."

Despite his public apologies to Rock, the Academy, and his family, the actor's actions got him banned from the Academy for 10 years.
