Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross Scoring New Pixar Movie
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have scored a number of films, including 2014’s The Social Network which earned them an Academy Award, and now they’re lending their talents to the world of Disney’s Pixar.
Per Variety, Reznor and Ross will be creating the score for the new Disney Pixar film Soul. Details on the film were announced at Disney’s D23 Expo including the voice cast which stars Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs, Questlove and Phylicia Rashad. Soul follows the story of a middle-school music teacher (voiced by Foxx) who aspires to one day play on the state of famed New York City jazz club The Blue Note.
Considering Reznor and Ross’ previous work tends to be on the darker, moodier side, it’ll be very interesting to hear what music they’ll create for this new Pixar film
Soul will hit theaters on June 19, 2020.
