Boston Parks & Recreation has put out their schedule for Christmas tree lightings around the city that start next week. The first lights go on Monday.

Trellis Lighting at Columbus Park

On Monday, November 21, head to 110 Atlantic Avenue on the waterfront. Christopher Columbus Park will be transformed with 260 feet of illuminated trellis. 50,000 blue lights will light up near the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel. Ackeem Hill will perform holiday classics and Santa will visit with Rudolph. Festivities start around 5pm.

Boston Common

This year's tree arrives Tuesday, November 22.  This will be the 105th year the symbol of friendship with Nova Scotia.  Santa will drop by.  The lightning happens just before 8pm.  Festivities start at 6.

Ship Lighting at Martin's Park

Head to 64 Sleeper Street for this children's event Saturday, November 26 at 4pm. The pedestrian bridge will be lit up with 1500 feet of blue and white lights.  Santa will arrive by boat to flip the switch.

Copley Square

This year's tree lighting will be on Monday, November 28. Santa and Rudolph will be there along with the Boston Children's Chorus and the Boston Pops Esplanade Brass Ensemble. Enjoy cookies and pics with Santa inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza after.  Festivities start at 5pm.

Boston Common Tree Lighting

Get to the Common on Thursday, December 1 at 6pm.  Channel 5 will broadcast the event live at 7pm if you can't make it. Pyrotechnics will close this event!

Commonwealth Avenue Lighting

The trees on the mall get lit up December 1st at 8pm.
