13 Things Boomers Say That Drive Millennials Crazy!

Boomers and millennials, two generations separated by time and experiences, often find themselves at odds in today's society.

Boomers, born between 1946 and 1964, grew up in an era of economic prosperity and social change. They value hard work, stability, and traditional values. On the other hand, millennials, born between 1981 and 1996, have witnessed rapid technological advancements and faced economic challenges. They prioritize flexibility, work-life balance, and social progress.

Millennials grew up with a lot of modern conveniences that Boomers could only hope for. Video games, cell phones that became "smartphones". So, they sometimes don't understand what the previous generation is saying at times and right now Twitter has a thread going on that asked them to name the phrases Boomers use perhaps too much.

Millennials have no idea what a landline is, they grew up with cordless, then cellphones and the thought of having to pay Ma Bell for a landline is crazy to them. but Boomers didn't grow up with ugly cell towers everywhere either.

Give Boomers a break, they didn't grow up with a lot of Mexican food, an occasional taco night was about it.

This expression refers to the amount of time we have walked God's green Earth, so millennials just have to deal with, because they will be saying the same thing someday

When the old credit card doesn't go through, every Boomer worth their salt will say this everytime.

When the bill comes for any occasion whether it's from a plumber or at the bar, Boomers want to asses the damage.

Boomers grew up calling it pot, as in "pot head", so give them a break, there were never "weed dispensaries" when they were growing up.

Boomers like to put "the" in front of words for no particular reason, it makes it sound larger and more ominous.

When a Boomer doesn't know how something will turn out it becomes the million dollar question even if its about something that doesn't cost nearly that.

Boomers want you to know it's okay to sit next to them, usually reserved for their children's significant others that are afraid of them.  Just a way to them know, they are not scary at all.

Boomers recall the times even before voice mail when you were going back and forth calling someone and not getting them on the phone, you were playing tag and it was your turn to call, now its basically, "did you see my text?"

Microwaves weren't around much till the late 70's and early 80's and anything you heated up was "nuked" and if you left it in too long, the food was surely nuked

Before DVR's you had to video a show or a game on a VHS or Betamax tape, it will always be "videoing" for Boomers not DVR'ing
