Oasis Won’t Be Using Dynamic Pricing for North American Shows
Oasis won’t be utilizing dynamic pricing for their upcoming North American tour dates following issues experienced by fans who bought tickets for their U.K. and Ireland shows.
In a statement, Oasis’ management said, “Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model will not be applied to the forthcoming sale of tickets to Oasis concerts in North America. It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable.”
The statement continued, “But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans.”
The statement concluded, “We have made this decision for the North America tour to hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the UK and Ireland experienced recently.”
Oasis announced North American tour dates yesterday (Sept. 30) for their Live ’25 reunion tour. So far, there are five shows announced for the North American leg of the Oasis tour, which will feature Cage The Elephant as the special guest opening act. Those five shows are:
-August 24: Toronto at Rogers Stadium
-August 28: Chicago at Solider Field
-August 31: East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium
-September 6: Los Angeles at Rose Bowl Stadium
-September 12: Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros.
Regarding the announced shows, Oasis said in a brief statement, “America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 4 at 12 PM local time. Fans are advised to register in advance with Ticketmaster.com. Full ticket details are available at Oasisnet.com.
Previous reports indicated Boston would be one of the potential North American stops. Those reports indicated additional shows in South America, Asia and Australia would be announced. That report appears to be correct, as Oasis’ website states, “Plans are underway for Oasis Live ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe and North America later next year.”
