Justin Timberlake's mugshot was already famous. Now, it's getting a second life resurgence online. Only this time around, it's not real and it's an AI-generated video. It really shows how far along the technology is because it looks like it could be real.
Honestly, you can't help but to feel for the guy. He's probably going through it right now and has to be humiliated enough by the DWI arrest. Now, he has to deal with fake AI-generated videos that show him downing a beer furthering the perception that he's a boozehound or alcoholic. At the same time, he invited this onto himself by getting behind the wheel that night after allegedly having some drinks. Two sides to every coin.
According to The New York Post, the video was originally created by AI creator Edmond Yang and has already been viewed thousands of times and climbing. In the trending video, Justin Timberlake's mugshot drinks a beer--only it looks totally real. His hands holding the glass look real, the beer leaving the glass looks real, his lips drinking it--everything about it looks like it could be real. Only it's not.
The bloodshot-eyed mugshot has been one of the most popular mugshots on the internet since former President Donald Trump was arrested. Only I don't remember AI-generated videos being made of him doing anything like this. AI technology is on the rise and seems to be better than ever.
