So far in the 2024 NBA Finals, it is fair to #7 has been the top player on the court. In addition, Jaylen Brown's sneakers are also making headlines.

"For the third season in a row, Jaylen Brown is a sneaker free agent," Kevin Durant's publication Boardroom explained. If you are unfamiliar, Brown does have his own sportswear brand called 7uice. Boardroom also relayed that through this brand the Celtics' star "has been working behind the scenes for the past year on creating his own self-produced signature shoe, in the vein of Lonzo Ball’s Big Baller Brand and Langston Galloway’s Ethics efforts in recent seasons."

Back in February at the all-star game, footwear industry reporters Nick DePaula posted that Brown was sporting "a triple black prototype sample shoe for the 2nd half of the All-Star Game — he’s hinted at potentially creating his own signature shoe."

In addition, Kickspoint was on the subject at the Celtics practice before the Finals last week and shared that Brown was wearing a futuristic pair of all-black sneakers with limited branding on them. "Brown sported a pair of never-before-seen shoes that have sneakerheads buzzing," they said in an Instagram post.

Here Is What We Know About Jaylen Brown's Sneakers So Far

In games one and two Brown wore sneakers that were colorful as opposed to the black version Boardroom showed. In game one, to match the home white uniform, Brown went with a white-based sneaker with a redish-pink accent. Then, for game two Sunday night, Brown wore what appears to be the same sneaker but in a green and purple colorway to go along with the darker black uniform as the Celtics increased their lead to 2-0 over the Dallas Mavericks.

As mentioned, it is rare for a player of Brown's all-star caliber to not have a major brand shoe endorsement, especially on basketball's biggest stage, the NBA Finals. Furthermore, last summer Brown signed the largest contract in league history, a five-year $304 million extension.

We will have to keep an eye out for what Brown opts for now in the two games coming up in Dallas.

It's also worth noting, that Brown's teammate, Jrue Holiday, who has also been playing exceptionally, has a fascinating sneaker situation going on.

"He laced up the Sabrina 1 in a league-high 53 games during the regular season and has since stuck to a rotation of his own PE colorways of the Sabrina silhouette, along with the Nike GT Cut 3," Boardroom said. The Sabrina 1 is in reference to Sabrina Ionescu of the WNBA's New York Liberty. Holiday is married to Lauren Holiday, who has won a World Cup with the USWNT and is a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Jrue has been a long-time advocate and supporter of women's sports.
