Furthermore, InsureMyTrip considered that bad weather might be more common during the current season. “Winter is still a great time to travel, with fewer tourists and lower costs for flights and hotels,” they said.

Six cities in the United States were named among the best places to be for a fun rainy day, and it turns out Boston has decent potential. Of course, when planning to spend a day indoors in Boston, you immediately think of interesting places to visit. InsureMyTrip listed that Boston having 32 museums, 173 attractions, and 110 theater shows are part of what makes the city fun to explore.
If you are planning an overnight or extended day trip, the quality of accommodations also scored well here. Restaurants scored 4.4 out of 5, and 87 hotels ranked within their parameters. So, if the rain forces you indoors, take advantage of the attractions. You are still in one of the top areas of the country to spend an enjoyable rainy day.
