An acrobat set a dizzying record with 47 aerial hoop somersaults in one minute. She utilized her ten years of experience to accomplish the feat.

Yammel Rodriguez broke the women's Guinness World Record when she performed 47 aerial hoop somersaults in Las Vegas.

Acrobat Sets Record For Aerial Hoop Somersaults

If you think that sounds like a lot, wait until you watch the video! I got the spins just watching it.

According to UPI, Rodriguez, "became intrigued by acrobatics after watching a performance at a music festival when she was 17, and she started out by learning tricks from YouTube tutorials" before being accepted to a renowned circus school in Canada.

Rodriguez is currently the only Latin female soloist performing in the Absinthe show in Las Vegas, per UPI.

The Mexican acrobat told Guinness World Records, "I feel very proud to represent my country and Latino women abroad. "

According to UPI, Rodriguez gets ready for every performance by repeating her mantra, "Have fun, connect and enjoy the moment you are living." Sounds tranquil. Especially before going up many feet above the ground to perform your art.

Acrobat Sets Guinness World Record

Personally, I'm scared of heights. So, obviously, I would never in a million years do this. Even if I wanted to, it's sadly not in the cards for me. Watching the video comfortably on the couch is hard enough for me.

Not only does this trick require mental strength, but you need outstanding physical strength, as well. You need to be able to torque your body through the hoop over and over again. Sadly, again...I don't think my body would allow me to do this.

I'm also a big fan of the movie Saving Silverman, and in the movie there's a scene with aerial acrobats. Without spoiling anything, let's just say it doesn't go well for the acrobat. So, that would cross my mind the second I'm elevated.

Congratulations to Ms. Rodriguez on setting the record! Not all heroes wear capes.
