Mugshot of the Day: What Did Someone Do To Get Arrested At Rib City In Southwest Florida?

We've seen a lot of crazy mugshots but this one is definitely near the top of the list for Mugshot of the day.

A man in Fort Myers was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm after authorities searched his motel room. According to WINK News, it turns out a woman was found at the 'Rib City' restaurant located in Fort Myers with a gun shot wound on her arm.

Upon investigation, detectives were able to gather a little information about where she was living. The gunshot victim said she had been staying at a nearby hotel with the person in question. She also claimed to be unaware that she was shot and mentioned it could have potentially been a drive-by shooting, according to WINK. The victim reportedly told authorities on the scene that she heard a nearby car screeching its tires around the time of the shooting.

Obviously, the detectives seemed confused by her story and were able to obtain a search warrant for the motel room that the victim said she was staying in nearby. It was there they discovered Francis Daniel Gannon, a 25-year-old man with a history of previous arrests.

WINK News reports that during an interview with police deputies, the victim says that neither her nor Gannon owned firearms.

Authorities mention in the report that a search warrant was obtained and they searched the room. Officers found firearms and ammunition that were visibly and openly displayed around the room. Gannon was then arrest for illegal possession of firearms while being a convicted criminal and booked at the Lee County Police Department.

According to WINK News, the incident happened at the Rib City located on 13181 North Cleveland Ave in Fort Myers. The victim was eventually transported to the Gulf Coast Medical Center to receive treatment for her injuries.

While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn't), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.

While all of these crimes are crazy and certainly cringeworthy, they also make for excellent conversation pieces. That's why I've gone and found five examples of the wildest stories that Dave and Chuck the Freak have talked about and made a list highlighting the best of the best.
