Sharon Osbourne: Why She Called Nikki Sixx an ‘A–Hole’

Sharon Osbourne is not one to hold back ever, and she had some colorful comments about Nikki Sixx on the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast.

During the episode, the conversation landed on the time when Ozzy Osbourne snorted a line of ants while on tour with Motley Crue in 1984. Of course, this gross incident was chronicled in the Crue's infamous memoir, The Dirt, and its subsequent film adaptation.

Jack Osbourne asks Ozzy whether the story is true, and he says yes. Jack then asks Sharon about it. She says she wasn't there for it, but she noted she always tried to keep her distance from Motley Crue when they were with her husband.

Sharon then says, "All I know is that I think it made their movie, and I wanna know why, now we're on the subject, of why, when they advertised their movie on Netflix, it's a picture of a guy imitating Ozzy. Why isn't the ad campaign a picture of Motley Crue?"

At this time, Ozzy is expressing mild annoyance with Sharon's comments. However, Jack answers Sharon's question by saying Ozzy is bigger than Motley Crue.

Ozzy is now trying to move on from the topic, but Sharon cuts in to call Sixx an "a--hole." When Ozzy disagrees, Sharon replies, "Yes, he f---in' is."

As of publishing, Sixx has not responded publicly about Sharon's comments that insinuate he had something to do with the use of the ants story in The Dirt book and movie and the use of Ozzy in promoting the film.

Here's hoping this doesn't turn into a war of words, like that time in February 2022 between Sixx and Eddie Vedder. Actually, strike that. Sixx vs. Vedder was delightfully random and kind of fun. Sixx: You're up!

Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo got married on February 20, 1982. They remain one of the longest-lasting marriages in classic rock. They're also among the most successful.

Benatar and Giraldo were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2022 induction class. Interestingly, Benatar was asked in a 2021 interview with CBS Sunday Morning whether it bothered her to not be in the Rock Hall. She said then that it didn't and noted, "Listen, when you win things, it's really fun. But the point is, does this validate, not validate what we've done? No."

Together, they've sold over 35 million albums worldwide. Benatar has also won countless honors, including four Grammy Awards. The husband and wife pairing even collaborated on a stage musical called Invincible -- The Musical. As previously reported, Invincible -- The Musical is a new reworking of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The production features versions of many of the songs Benatar and Giraldo have written and performed together for over 40 years.

In a September 2013 interview with the Arizona Republic, Benatar fondly looked back on meeting Giraldo. She said the first song they recorded together was the hit "Heartbreaker." Benatar said she and Giraldo clicked instantly. Even though there was a definite attraction from the beginning, Benatar was still married, and Giraldo was also in a relationship.

" ... We made [1979's 'In the Heat of the Night'] not romantically involved, which was a challenge," said Benatar. "Which is what made it so much fun, and I think you can hear all that on that record."
