Family owned business is what this country was built on. It’s so important to support the hardworking people behind the small businesses here in Massachusetts. After reading about the Petruzzelli family and New Deal Fruit and Deli, I just had to share. The Petruzzelli’s have serving high quality fruits and veggies for well over 50 years. They used to pedal their products in a horse-drawn wagon. Now, in their 4th generation the family is still at it. Of course, they ditched the horse and wagon for the comfort of their Revere location that also serves hand-sliced deli meats and oversized subs. This old school deli in Revere is the REAL deal, and a big deal. It’s New Deal!
You’ll find New Deal Fruit and Deli at 920 Broadway in Revere. It’s a “modern day food emporium with the feel of an authentic Italian market,” according to their website. It’s not just about the fruit and the meats, it’s also about the cheese. Oh, wow, do they have cheese! Here, you’ll find 50 varieties of cheese. This old school deli in Revere is the real deal, and a big deal for those who frequent the New Deal.
This popular spot is famous for their super-sized submarine sandwiches. At New Deal you can order hot subs, or cold subs. There are over 2 dozen specialty sandwiches to pick from, with fun names. Try the Gladiator, the Eastie, Tony Soprano, the Big Bambino or the Boston Slugger on for size.
