Amazing For Kids, School Of Rock Massachusetts Has 8 Locations

When your kids ask for music lessons, do you have trouble finding a place to go? Then, after a lesson is finally completed, does your kid have something to do with what they just learned? School of Rock solves both of those problems, and they have eight Massachusetts locations.

“Founded as a single school in Philadelphia, PA, in 1998, School of Rock now has over 300 locations in 15 different countries, helping aspiring musicians master skills, unleash creativity, and develop tools they need to thrive in life,” they explain. Furthermore, their guiding value is based on community.

The School of Rock mission encourages and allows students to be part of their local music scene. Of course, it is still up to every little rocker to go home and practice on their own, but the school offers multiple avenues for each student to be part of band.

Each School of Rock location is branded similarly. Although some schools are corporately owned, many are now under a franchise model. Regardless, the programs are consistent. Their collaborative space encourages development and creativity.

Inspiring Kids Rock On Stage And In Life

Program offerings at School Of Rock are often based on a performance model. If your child is a guitar player, in addition to a private lesson, there are often opportunities for your little shredder to join a school-assembled band. Here, they will meet other students at the school and link up with piano players, drummers, bass players, and singers alike. The Music Director will guide the band to learn cover songs and even write some tunes of their own. The General Manager and local team can then arrange for special community performances.

When you really start rising the rock ranks, the School of Rock has an “All-Stars” program where certain bands have the opportunity to tour the country. Other amazing opportunities include opening for bands like Incubus. Furthermore, many School of Rock bands just played Summerfest in Milwaukee.
