Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has died. She was 54.

Lisa Marie's death was confirmed in a statement from Priscilla to the media. Priscilla said, "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."

Earlier today, news broke that Lisa Marie suffered cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, Calif. Medical personnel was able to regain a pulse before she was transported to a nearby hospital. It was later reported she was in an Intensive Care Unit and on life support with a temporary pacemaker. Additionally, she was in an induced coma.

On Tuesday (1/10), Lisa Marie and Priscilla were at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills. She and her mother were both in attendance and saw Austin Butler win a Globe for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the film Elvis.

Lisa Marie was also joined by Butler and Elvis filmmaker Baz Luhrmann in L.A. on Sunday (1/8) when they attended a birthday bash for the King, himself. Baz and Austin flanked Lisa as they arrived at the Formosa Café in West Hollywood, one of Elvis' favorite haunts when he was alive. Lisa's daughter, Riley Keough, also stepped out for the party.

Lisa Marie followed in her famous father's footsteps and released three albums: 2003's To Whom It May Concern, 2005's Now What and 2012's Storm & Grace. Those titles peaked on the Billboard 200 album chart at #5, #9 and #45, respectively.

As the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie was often the subject of public curiosity, especially when it came to her love life. Her first marriage to Danny Keough in 1988 yielded two children: actress Riley Keough, 33, and Benjamin Keough, who tragically died by suicide at age 27 in July 2020.

Lisa Marie's next two marriages were notorious for different reasons. She was married to Michael Jackson from 1994-1996, and much was made in the press of the daughter of "The King of Rock n' Roll" coupled with "The King of Pop." Lisa Marie's third marriage to actor Nicolas Cage lasted from 2002-2004. The relationship garnered attention due to Cage being a known fanatic of Elvis Presley.

Lisa Marie's fourth marriage to music producer Michael Lockwood lasted from 2006-2021. They had two children together: fraternal twin girls Harper and Finley, 14.

Elvis Presley would've turned 88 today (January 8.)

“The King” has been heavily chronicled over the years and yielded some of the most iconic images in music history. To honor Presley, scroll through the gallery below full of classic photos from Presley's incredible career and life.
