Sure, we all love the trash can nachos at Guy Fieri's Tequila Cocina by the TD Garden here in Boston, but there's another place Guy has put on his must-stop list whenever he's in New England, and he doesn't even own it!

Fieri was recently a guest on the Past Our Prime podcast hosted by former Patriots player Dan Koppen and former Astros Pitcher Tip Fairchild, where he spoke about going to his wife's family reunion in New Hampshire.

While he's up in the Granite State, Fieri confirmed that he'll be filming for one of his shows in North Conway.

But it's not the New Hampshire cuisine we're talking about here. Fieri absolutely raves over the hot dogs at Olneyville New York System on the west side of Providence down in Rhode Island.

"I'm going to fly to Rhode Island and pick up my mother-in-law, on the premise that she will go to Olneyville and get me some gaggers," Fieri said.

"I am telling you about it right now, and my mouth is watering so bad. It is one of my favorite, favorite things to eat and people look at me like 'are you serious?'" Fieri explained.

"There's just something about going to Olneyville, there's just something about the New York Systems guys, the way they do it."

So Guy Fieri's mother-in-law will be getting a private jet ride up to the family reunion in New Hampshire, but only if the New York System hot dogs make it on the plane.

"The key is the Coney Island sauce, there's a meat sauce that goes on top of it," Fieri gushed. "This is a pilgrimage."

Olneyville New York System has been a must-stop for Guy for years, including two years ago, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic when he made a stop in the Providence restaurant.

Every Massachusetts Restaurant on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives

Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, hosted by Guy Fieri on the Food Network, is one of the most popular shows for food lovers. There’s just something super entertaining about Fieri, and the show is so fun to watch. What’s extra cool is that Fieri has come to Massachusetts multiple times and picked local restaurants to highlight on the show.

We used TVFoodmaps.com and FlavortownUSA.com to seek out every restaurant in the Bay State that's been featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. While sadly a few of them have closed for good, most likely victims of the COVID-19 pandemic, Massachusetts still boasts over 30 locations that are mere driving distance away.

From Polish and Italian to places for brunch and seafood, the list criss-crosses Massachusetts with a number of local eateries just begging to be put on your mini road trip list.
