Elton John hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2011, and at that time, it was about a month away from the big royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton. The whole preparation of the nuptials was the subject of a very funny sketch.

In the sketch, Sir Elton meets with Queen Elizabeth II (Fred Armisen) and Prince Philip (Bill Hader) to ask what song they want him to sing at Prince William's (Andy Samberg) wedding. The Queen and Prince Philip are their usual soft-spoken, proper selves in front of Prince William, but when William leaves the room, things take a turn.

The Queen and Prince Philip transform into rude punks and criticize Sir Elton for his song recommendations, much to the surprise of John.

"How does it feel Elton? How does it feel to not be the craziest queen in the room?" says the Queen. "It's a bit refreshing, honestly," replies Elton.

The sketch then devolves into a punk jam that includes pogoing galore. Truth be told, Sir Elton's punk vocals are pretty great!
