An Evanescence fan shared a funny story on Reddit about how she ended up taking over a local radio station in 2004.

From u/losvestidosrojos, "In 2004, I won a contest to DJ at my very small hometown’s easy-listening radio station. I proceeded to play an hour of Evanescence deep cuts and ruined everyone’s morning commute." She even shared a photo of herself in a studio.

Plenty of Reddit users sounded off on this very funny, but brief story with one user writing, "It's the 'deep cuts'  bit that has had me chuckling for a solid minute. You weren't even trying to win people over by going with the bangers, straight to your obscure faves. Brilliant."

Another user commented, "I love how not only did you pick a group that wouldn’t be played on the station (as any kid that age would tho) but that you had no desire to switch it up. Evanescence straight through." u/losvestidosrojos responded with, "Lol I remember them politely asking me at some point if there was anything in the station’s catalog I’d like to play. I took the hint and switched to Cat Stevens for a bit because that’s what my dad listened to."
