The Pour House is Re-Opening
Fans of a dark barroom that smells like stale beer and serves cheap eats unite! The Pour House is re-opening!
According to Boston.com, the beloved no-frills bar will re-open according to its owner Charles Talanian. There’s no timetable yet, but here’s what we know:
- The bar closed in September 2020
- There is no opening date yet, but it looks like early 2022
- It will be EXACTLY the same. “It’s going to reopen exactly as the [previous] Pour House,” Talanian told Boston.com on Thursday. “The menu, everything is going to be the same.”
- Talanian owns the building, is buying back the Pour House brand, and will lease it to a company that will run it
- Everything remains intact, even the furniture!
Here are 2 other things we know:
Rhianna is a fan.

We knew a guy who played football for BC during the Pour House’s heyday. He and his buddies used to go around the block to end of the Pour House line and tell people in line there was a $5 cover. They looked like bouncers, but weren’t. Who was gonna argue with those huge dudes? They made their drinking money.
Can’t wait to get that cheap, greasy breakfast again!
