Gordon Ramsay to Open His First Boston Restaurant in Back Bay
Celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, is coming to Boston to open his first restaurant in the city.
The restaurant, called ‘Ramsay’s Kitchen,’ will be located within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Back Bay area. It will be connected to Copley Place and the Prudential Center, with plans to open later in 2021. According to a press release, the 7,000-square-foot restaurant will be able to accommodate more than 180 guests and will feature a bar and lounge, main dining room, raw bar, two private dining areas, and a seasonal patio. The all-day menu will offer some of Ramsay’s favorite dishes from his restaurant group with a “Boston twist,” including beef wellington and lobster and clam bouillabaisse.
“I absolutely love the energy of Boston and consider it a premier dining destination in the country,” Ramsay said in a press release. “This will be my first ever Ramsay’s Kitchen and I couldn’t be more excited to open it inside the Mandarin Oriental, in the heart of Boston’s vibrant Back Bay neighborhood.”
Ramsay announced the news on the official Instagram account for the restaurant, stating that he will be putting together some local dishes with New England ingredients. “Boston, trust me, I can’t wait to see you inside Ramsay’s Kitchen for breakfast, lunch, or dinner,” he said in the video below. “And one final message: Go Sox!”
The new restaurant will create more than 160 jobs. If you are interested, you can email your resume to jobs@grna.com.
