Sharon Osbourne Lawyers Up Following ‘The Talk’ Backlash
Sharon Osbourne has “lawyered up” in a big way amid The Talk drama, which has exploded into a full-blown scandal, Page Six reports.
Osbourne is being represented by Jeremiah Reynolds of the LA law firm Eisner in her negotiations with CBS as the network investigates reports of an alleged “racially insensitive and hostile environment” on the show, allegedly because of Osbourne.
According to the media outlet, a source familiar with the CBS internal investigation said, “Sharon wasted no time in getting her lawyers immediately on the case. Jeremiah Reynolds has a very strong reputation as a trial and arbitration lawyer and is handling all her negotiations with CBS.”
Another source told the outlet that Osbourne is allegedly “expecting to be fired, but she won’t go without a huge payout from CBS. The network will have to pay her a sizeable settlement to keep her quiet after this. She could write a book, she would do a world of interviews. She knows where all the bodies are buried.”
According to his bio on his firm’s website, “high-profile clients regularly turn to Mr. Reynolds for his substantial trial, arbitration, and appellate experience. Throughout his career, he has represented numerous prominent clients, including Richard Gere, Justin Bieber, Michael Keaton, Sharon, Ozzy, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne, Nate Diaz, Kathryn Bigelow, Mark Boal, Robert Duvall, Kate Hudson, Reggie Bush, the Kardashian Family, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Paul Anka, Danny DeVito, and Paris Hilton.”
Following Osbourne’s heated exchange with The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood, after Osbourne got worked up over potentially being accused of being a racist after defending longtime friend Piers Morgan and his controversial comments about Meghan Markle.
While defending her friend Morgan, Underwood pointed out to Osbourne that “You’re standing by your friend. It appears that you give safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist.” A flustered Osbourne responded by saying she felt like she was about to be put “in an electric chair.”
Osbourne then freaked out on The Talk, telling Underwood, “Don’t try and cry, ’cause if anybody should be crying, it should be me!”
Underwood remained calm throughout, saying she didn’t want any of the viewers watching to think they’re attacking Osbourne for being a racist.
The Talk will remain on hiatus until at least the end of this week while further investigations into these matters are completed.
