IN SPACE – JULY 23: In this image provided by NASA, ESA, and the Hubble SM4 ERO Team, the planet Jupiter is pictured July 23, 2009 in Space. Today, September 9, 2009, NASA released the first images taken with the Hubble Space Telescope since its repair in the spring. (Photo by NASA, ESA, and the Hubble SM4 ERO Team via Getty Images)
So, if they're transmitting, does that mean they can receive, too? If so, ROCK 92.9 is the official rock station of Jupiter. We've planted our flag.
The Juno spacecraft that is currently traveling in orbit around Jupiter detected an FM radio signal coming from Jupiter's moon Ganymede. Says NASA Ambassador Patrick Wiggins: “It’s not E.T. It’s more of a natural function.” Wiggins basically broke it down as what we know as WiFi in this story from KETK news.
We have so many questions. Even if it's only a natural function caused by electrons and not aliens, we humbly request NASA designate us as Official Radio Ambassadors to Jupiter. We'll get our engineers to rig up a live broadcast. If we leave now, we'll be there in 6 years.
