'Tis the season...to flash back 40 years. It's Christmas time 1980, and Bon Jovi is singing his heart out with children and droids.
It's true: Christmas in the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album, released in November of 1980 and produced by Tony Bonjiovi, features a young John Bonjiovi handling lead vocals on "R2D2 We Wish You A Merry Christmas." The 18-year-old hadn't even adopted his stage name yet, but here he is alongside R2D2 and C-3PO. Does this mean Bon Jovi is part of the expanded Star Wars universe? We'd love to see him make a cameo on one of the slate of new shows Disney+ announced yesterday.
