Remember when MTV actually stood for "Music Television?" We remember. And so does Rolling Stone, who put together this list.
This is all to mark the 31st anniversary of the MTV Unplugged franchise, which launched on November 26, 1989. Those early performances from the likes of Aerosmith and Poison have been pretty much forgotten, but for the better part of the '90s, Unplugged played host to some pretty legendary sets.
Rolling Stone has Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains in their Top 5, and rightfully so. But they round out their list of 15 with some solid performances I'd forgotten about, like Oasis in 1996 and KISS in 1995. See the full list here, scroll down for a few choice Unplugged moments, and don't forget to vote for your fave in this week's 12 Inch Poll.
