NASA Moonwalks Back Its Moon Landing Plans
NASA is doing a moonwalk on its plans to return to the lunar surface by 2024.
While the ‘Artemis Program’ had been aiming for a 2024 landing, NASA now says they’d be ‘hard-pressed’ to meet that deadline.
Instead, the lunar landing might happen closer to 2028.
Reasons for the delay include the coronavirus pandemic and delays with the Space Launch System rocket.
Project Artemis includes plans to eventually establish a permanent moon base, as a first step towards eventually traveling to Mars.
