Dee Snider Sounds Off On Acts Coming Out of Retirement After Farewell Tours

Dee Snider made his feelings crystal clear about acts coming out of retirement after embarking on farewell tours.

In an interview with Ultimate-Guitar.com, Snider said, "I think it's bulls---...when you do a farewell tour, and you announce this, and you sell tickets, and you have a t-shirt that says 'No More Tours' - thank you very much, Ozzy, I bought one of those - and then you come back, that's bulls---."

Snider continued, "So when you say, 'We're retiring,' people now don't take it seriously. So, you know, it's like a joke, and I think that a part of it is that these artists have nothing else going on. And I realize that - without playing, they have no career."

Snider did clarify, however, that bands that reunite for a big tour following a breakup are totally fine.

"Rage Against the Machine breaks up - that's not retirement, they broke up, and they reformed, and that's great," said Snider.

Twisted Sister decided to retire in 2016, so considering Snider's stance on band's coming out of retirement, don't count on seeing Twisted Sister ever doing a big tour ever again.
