Neil Young's "Southern Man" is 50 years old, but the songwriter feels the message about racial inequality is just as vital today as it was in 1970.

Responding to and inspired by the murder of George Floyd and the protests surrounding it, Young shared a 2019 performance of the song, writing: “Here’s me as an old guy singin’ his 50-year-old song that was written after countless years of racism in the USA. And look at us today! This has been going on for way too long.”

You can watch the performance here, in the Neil Young Archives.
