Massachusetts Only Gets Small Amount Of Ventilators From Federal Government
100 ventilators have been received by state officials here in Massachusetts, a small fraction of the 1,400 requested from the national stockpile.
“We believe that the process as it’s been laid out to us is going to be an incremental one,” Governor Charlie Baker said.
“We don’t believe this is the last shipment. We fully expect that we’ll get additional ventilators over the next two weeks.”
Baker said that the ventilators will be distributed over the next 24 hours.
.@MassLtGov + I had the chance to tour the COVID-19 testing site at @PatriotPlace in Foxboro that will perform up to 200 tests per day for symptomatic public safety workers.
