The Joker? That's old news (unless you pay attention to the Oscars, that is). But on the day that Joker dominated the Academy Award nominations, Jared Leto, who played the clown prince of crime in the ill-fated 2016 film Suicide Squad -- he's not revisiting the role in the semi-sequel, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) -- has moved on to another super-villain.

He's going to star as Morbius in the upcoming film about the vampire who, in the comic books, is one of Spider-Man's arch-enemies. Like Venom, another film about a Spider-villain, Spidey won't appear in the film. But, as revealed in the trailer, Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes (aka the Vulture, the bad guy in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming) will be in the film.

Watch the trailer below. Morbius hits theaters on July 31.

Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
