Labor Day Weekend is in the rear view mirror. Grilling season is winding down. So where will you get the best cheeseburgers in New England?

Or maybe I should say the second best cheeseburgers in New England. Because let’s face it, the best cheeseburger in New England or any state is the one you just slid off your grill. It’s juicy and it’s on a perfectly toasted bun and it’s loaded with all your favorite toppings. And you’re going to devour that cheeseburger, then wash it down with your icy cold beverage of choice. Because you are the Grillmaster. Nobody does it better than you.

But again, grilling season is winding down. So what’s a carnivore to do? Well, you can start with this list we found on Yelp that lists the top cheeseburger in every state. Actually, you don’t have to do that; the work has already been done. I went through and pulled out the chosen burgs from all six New England states. Because even though grilling season is all but done, fall travel season is about to hit its peak. So this list could come in handy if you’re hitting the road in the coming months to peep leaves and smash burgers in Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont.

The Best Cheeseburgers in New England

Before we tuck our collective napkins into our shirts, however, I would be remiss if I didn’t flaunt my burger credentials. Back in 2019, I had a killer series called Burgers, Beers, and Bars. I’d hit bars all over the Boston area, sampling their best burgers, and tipping pints of local craft beer. It might be time to bring Triple B’s back, now that I think about it. No, wait. I’m eating mostly plant-based these days. So maybe VBBB? Veggie Burgers, Beers, and Bars?
