Leonardo DiCaprio attends the 92nd Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood and Highland on February 09, 2020 in Hollywood, California. Camila Morrone attends the Baby2Baby 10-Year Gala presented by Paul Mitchell on November 13, 2021 in West Hollywood, California.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone have ended their relationship after four years together.

The Wolf of Wall Street star, 47, and the Never Goin’ Back actress, 25 have been linked since January 2018 and they made their debut as a couple when they sat together in the front row at the Oscars in February 2020, People reports. DiCaprio has famously only dated models under 25 years old, and as many users on Twitter pointed out, Morrone just celebrated her 25th birthday in June.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times in a December 2019 interview, Morrone spoke about her age difference with DiCaprio, saying at the time, “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”

The two had been seen together earlier this month. On the Fourth of July weekend they were together at a beach in Malibu. People lists other recent sightings of the two of them separately. In August, they report that Morrone was spotted in St. Tropez with her mother. And they report that DiCaprio was spotted out to dinner with friends in Los Angeles as recently as last week.

Twitter, predictably, had a good time dunking on DiCaprio. One person noted that DiCaprio was breaking up with his 10th millenilal girlfriend. Another shared a joke from Ricky Gervais, who joked that Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was so long that by the end or the premiere, Leo had to dump his date because she was too old for him. Yet another joked that his dating 25 year-olds is part of his climate change activism: he wants to spread the message to those who will be most affected by global warming. Another noted that he wanted his movies taken off of Netflix, now that it’s 25. Check out some of the reactions to the breakup below.
