Yes, THAT John Hinckley Jr.–A.K.A. the guy who tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981–has joined Twitter and he has some music takes.
Turns out Mr. Hinckley isn’t a fan of what passes for country in 2021.
No one can touch Hank Williams Sr. He’s still the best. Today’s country music is lousy. I like the classic country sound from the 50’s and 60’s. You can hear it in my country songs.

I like the early Beatles, early Elvis, early Bob Dylan and early Rolling Stones. “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea” by Neutral Milk Hotel is a great album. Nirvana did some good stuff.

Some really good albums are “New York” by Lou Reed, “Get Lost” by Magnetic Fields, “The Gasoline Age” by East River Pipe and “Teenage Symphonies to God” by Velvet Crush.
