Best Summer TV: Stranger Things

How have you not watched this yet? And even if you have, watch all three seasons again!

Labor Day Weekend has passed. The kids are back to school. It's time to look back at the best summer TV shows of 2022.

For as much time as I spent outdoors this summer, I sure spent quite a bit of time in the evening watching TV. Which isn't usually my thing. After a long summer day of swimming and beaching and bonfiring and drinking, I'm usually plopping down with a book for about 20 minutes before I pass out. OK, at least that's what I'm aiming for. Usually, I'm just screwing around on my phone. Which is a bad habit that I'm trying to break out of. So more often these days, I'm putting down the small screen in my hand and turning toward the larger screen in my living room.

I started my summer TV binge back on Memorial Day Weekend, fitting in episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi when I wasn't kicking it at Boston Calling. Obi-Wan was so-so. I much preferred the return of The Kids in the Hall that dropped at the beginning of the summer. Just as funny as they ever were. My other summer stand-out is What We Do In The Shadows, which is the funniest show on TV right now. As I type this, I'm anxiously counting the hours until I can watch the Season 4 finale tonight. Oh, and I'm burying the lede: Stranger Things Season 4. Eddie. Metallica. Best damn show of the summer. Or was it?

In addition to my four faves, I've added another ten-or-so summer TV shows that got a ton of buzz. House of the Dragon is represented, as is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, even though they just kicked off recently. And of course the final season of Better Call Saul is in the mix. Scroll through the full list of shows, choose your favorite, and cast your vote.
