Fall foliage train tours in New England offer a relaxing way to experience the breathtaking beauty of autumn aka leaf peeping. As the leaves slowly change into vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold, these scenic train tours provide a front-row seat for the journey of Autumn in New England.

Let’s stop off in New Hampshire first. One of the most popular routes is the Conway Scenic Railroad in the White Mountains. Maine has a train tour that’s been around for 155 years, it’s the Belfast and Moosehead Lake railroad, this scenic tour takes you on the shorelines of Moosehead Lake, if your lucky you might even get to hear a few loons.

Connecticut’s Essex Steam Train combines vintage locomotives with the scenic beauty of the Connecticut River Valley. The lush foliage along the riverbanks creates a peaceful and photogenic atmosphere.
