’80s Boston Rock Returns This May

If you were a regular at The Channel back in the day, this ’80s Boston rock show will be right up your alley.

 

Presented by popular local podcast Boston Venue: The Channel Story, the ’80s Throwback to the Channel takes place at Roadrunner Boston on Saturday, May 28. And the headlining slot boasts the original lineup of one of Boston’s most beloved rock bands.

  For only the third time in over three decades, The Dels are reuniting their original lineup.

• Nervous Eaters

  Boston’s preeminent new wavers were a fixture at The Channel when it opened in 1980.

• Barrance Whitfield

  Barrance Whitfield and the Savages were another mainstay of the Boston music scene in the ’80s. Barrance himself will head up an All-Star Revue.

• Charlie Farren

  You may remember him from Farreheit or the Joe Perry Project; he’ll also be in on the All-Star Revue.

• Fred Pineau

  Fred’s in on the All-Star Revue, too. He of Atlantics fame, of course.

• Rick Berlin

  Mr. Berlin rounds out the All-Star Revue.
