The best shows list ain't easy
It wasn't an easy list to make because there are so many great shows out there to choose from but hopefully, I nailed this one. The important things I wanted to focus on were the diversity of both shows and streaming services.
In my humble opinion, there are really nine BIG streaming services that are creating shows and movies for consumers. Those are Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, Starz, Max (formerly HBOMax), Peacock, and Disney+. Which are the best? Well, Tom's Guide has a list for you.

New shows to watch this summer
This is the really big Google entry along with shows to watch in July 2023. Do you start a new show or binge a couple of seasons of something that's been around for a while? Let's talk NEW SHOWS.
With so many streaming options, there are always new shows being created and coming out. One of my favorite things are limited series. This is a one-season-only engagement of a show. It's basically a movie over eight episodes (or whatever it is).
8 shows to watch in July 2023
The Horror of Dolores Roach - Amazon Prime
Haven't heard of it? That's because it came to Amazon Prime on July 1st of 2023 so it is brand new. According to TV Guide, " Justina Machado plays a woman freshly out of prison... after taking the fall for her drug-dealing boyfriend... her pursuit of rebuilding her life is sidetracked (or strengthened) by a little bit of "accidental" murder and cannibalism."
It's a dark comedy that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Witcher (Season 3, Volume 2) - Netflix
Obviously not a new show but your last chance to see Henry Cavill portray Geralt in this fantastic series before Liam Hemsworth takes over the role. The first part of the season was released in June and will finish with three episodes this month!
Full Circle - Max, Formerly HBOMax
Another new show on the list here. It's a limited series from director Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven, Magic Mike, Contagion) that has quite the star-studded cast. Claire Danes, Timothy Olyphant, Zazie Beetz, Jharrel Jerome, and Dennis Quaid star in this show with LOTS of twists and turns.
Based on a True Story - Peacock
It's a comedy/thriller that is sure to entertain. Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory) plays a true-crime obsessed realtor who gets herself in the middle of quite a bit.
It's got a pretty solid rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 79% audience score!
Secret Invasion - Disney+
MARVEL FANS, YOU THERE?? Yeah, you know we had to give something you would absolutely love. "It centers around the character of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) as he works with allies to stop a Skrull invasion." according to DigitalTrends.com.
Marvel has done an incredible job keeping fans entertained between massive movie releases and this is no different.

Hijack - Apple TV+
Okay folks, buckle your seat belt because this is the show I have been most excited for for quite some time now. Idris Elba plays a negotiator who happens to be on a plane that gets hijacked. IF you have a fear of flying, I would advise not watching.
This story is covering the events on the plane in real time which isn't really something we've seen on a show since 24 (what a throwback).

Special Ops: Lioness - Paramount +
I haven't heard TOO much about this show other than that Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, 1883, 1923) created it and it stars Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldaña, and Morgan Freeman (which is an insane star lineup). According to ComingSoon, "the story follows a gritty young Marine dedicated to infiltrating and dismantling a terrorist organization from the inside."
The only thing is, this show doesn't air until July 23rd. Every other show on this list is already available to you except this one! Just keep that in mind so I don't get angry emails.

Heels (Season 2) - Starz
This show is the least known show on this list I would bet but it's got a very unique storyline. According to ViralThrills, "Heels is a story about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small-town pro wrestling."
