According to the folks at LawnStarter, May 6 marked World Naked Gardening Day. Yes, that’s a thing. No, I had no idea either. World Pizza Day? Sure, that makes sense. Hell, there’s even a National Pizza Party Day. It’s the third Friday in May each year, if you want to mark it down on your calendar. But a day to celebrate gardening in the nude? I did not see that one coming.
So here we are with 2023’s Best Cities for Naked Gardening. Before we strip down the rankings, LawnStarter lays down the rules: “We compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on nudist population size, indecent exposure laws, and, of course, gardener-friendliness. We also looked at weather forecasts, access to waxing salons, and sex offender listings, among 12 total metrics.”
I’m sorry, but I’m dying laughing over here. This is some serious research! You gotta take indecent exposure laws into account, you gotta check the local sex offender registry. Nude gardening is not an activity to be taken lightly! And I’m going to stop there before I say something judgy about people who would want to garden in the nude. You do you. No judgement here.
