Today (October 14) is the theatrical premiere and Peacock streaming premiere of David Gordon Green's Halloween Ends. After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) faces off for the last time against the masked killer Michael Myers. Four years after her last encounter with Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and trying to finish her memoir. Myers hasn't been seen in a long time, and Laurie finally decides to liberate herself from rage and fear and embrace life. However, when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell) stands accused of murdering a boy that he was babysitting... the story takes a turn.

"Scream queen" Curtis has portrayed Laurie, on and off, for more than four decades now. That's one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. Curtis first took on the role of Laurie in 1978 with John Carpenter's Halloween. When the franchise relaunched under director David Gordon Green in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.

Halloween Ends co-stars returning cast Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and James Jude Courtney as The Shape. Watch the final trailer below:

Earlier this week, the stars of Halloween Ends hit the red carpet in Hollywood and they slayed -- with very little blood spilled. See the 13 hottest looks below:

Now the velvet blazers are always such a classic look and perfect for fall. It's refreshing to see a lighter color, as most folks go with dark velvet.
