Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 had its world premiere on Thursday night (April 27) in Hollywood, California. Not everyone showed up: Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana were noticeably absent. But the rest of the guardians walked the red (or purple) carpet for one last ride. Shiny satin was a common theme for the ladies in attendance. Jewel tones were another popular color scheme for the stars.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), still reeling from the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them. The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and voice actors Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket. Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova are also in the cast

Taking to Twitter, director James Gunn shared a photo with the main cast and offered some words ahead of the world premiere. He wrote: "I’m nervous, of course, but mostly excited for all of us, the cast & crew & our friends & families, to sit together in a dark theater & experience the movie together. This is the sweetest part of filmmaking: one last look at our creation, one brief moment of being present to the long & winding journey it took us to get here, before turning it over to all of you, the world at large. Thank you to all of you who helped us to get here. You know who you are. My love for you runs deep. #GotGVol3 #WeAreGroot"

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hits theaters on May 5.

You know Vin Diesel doesn't go anywhere without his "family." In his pocket, he shows he's got Groot right there with him. Though it's super adorable he wore a Groot-themed jacket, the actor does not look cool at all.

Rauw Alejandro

The actress, who played Nicki Ramos in "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" looked a little too old to be wearing such an adorable sailor-inspired mini-dress with matching satin gloves and boots.

The actress, who voices Lylla in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' and also plays Clint Barton's wife Laurain the 'Avengers films' and 'Hakweye,' kept things simple with a little black lace dress.

The actor, who plays Adam Warlock, looked dapper in his embroidered suit.

Chris Pratt

The actor, who plays Peter Quill, aka Star Lord, looked a little too uptight, maybe even copying the style of British actor Will Poulter with this brown and lavender checked suit.

Karen Gillan

The actress, who plays Nebula, wore this edgy blazer mini, with frilling detail in her cuff, and thigh high boots.

Bradley Cooper

The actor, who voices Rocket, kept it a little too 'lax at the world premiere, wearing just a black checkered jumper, dress pants and canvas sneakers.

James Gunn

We love how the director wore this muted yellow suit at the premiere. Paired with some white sneakers, Gunn is the epitome of cool.

Pom Klementieff

The actress, who plays Mantis, stunned in this satin coral hooded mini-dress, with a flair to her pleated skirt.
