The end of 2022 is nigh. I present to you: Adam 12‘s Top 12 Albums of 2022. Thank you for looking and for listening.

Let me start with my usual disclaimer. ROCK 92.9’s playlist spans four decades, from the ’70s through the early ’00s. Actually, I need to correct that: our playlist now spans an additional decade, as we’ve started playing new rock from the bands you hear when they have new rock out. For example, we play songs off of both Red Hot Chili Peppers albums that dropped in 2022. And we’re playing the new songs from Metallica and Smashing Pumpkins.

I like having new rock in the mix. Because as much as I love playing all the great songs that I grew up listening to and you grew up listening to and that have so many great memories attached to them, I also love discovering new songs and bands. And thanks to my Bandcamp page, which you can find here, I’m forever unearthing new music to geek out to and share with everyone.

Which brings us to my list. These are not the 12 Best Albums of 2022. They’re just 12 albums that came out this year that I spent a lot of time with because I fell in love with each of them. There’s some punk and some metal and some indie rock and some folk and, well, just take a look and take a listen. And thanks again.
