Could Snake Yoga be the new popular fitness trend? It looks like it might be as it's now going viral on social media.

I've heard of goat yoga and it looked incredible. Imagine doing yoga surrounded by goats or even with one standing on your back. That would be incredible. There's also puppy yoga where you do it with adorable puppies. I can see that helping you relax and de-stress. Now, there's Snake Yoga. That's a bit different because people aren't often scared of goats or puppies like they might be with snakes. HISSS is a reptile shop that's now doing Snake Yoga. It's not for everyone but it might be for you!

Is 'Snake Yoga' The New Fitness Trend?

According to NPR, Katy Vanek is the yoga teacher running the Snake Yoga and she had no previous experience working with snakes. That's a bold decision to take on this unique yoga if you're not familiar with snakes.

NPR says the classes at HISSS tend to be roughly 80% snake fans and 20% people coming as exposure therapy in a way to try to get over their fear of snakes. Would you do it? I don't know if I could. Goat yoga or puppy yoga is probably more of my speed.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
